The heart of any clinic or medical center is the team of doctors. Their professionalism and the way they provide medical care define the reputation of the clinic for patients and for their colleagues. For the past 15 years our team and our clinic has rightly been considered the best in Moscow and in Russia. Our team was formed when almost no one in Russia knew about the medical specialization of ”family doctor,” and the words “family or private medicine” were associated only with dental departments, gynecology or cosmetology. We were the first “private clinic” in Russia that could offer complete medical care and medical services - real “family medicine”. The patient with hypertension could bring his pregnant wife, who would be under our medical supervision until birth. And after delivery, their children would be in the care of our pediatricians. Our patients brought all their problems to us, and they knew with certainty that we provide respectful attention and competent medical care. At that time, there was no such profession as “family doctor” in Russia. Our doctors studied family medicine with American and European doctors, who were working on contract here. Foreign specialists came and went, but our doctors stayed — gaining experience, learning to maintain the American and European standards of working, and becoming qualified specialists. Our team became the first registered, certified family doctors in Russia; the first “Family Doctor’s” certificate was given to doctor Alexeev. During more recent years many of the doctors in our team have studied in the USA and Great Britain and have became professionally qualified/certificated doctors in these countries. But they came back to Russia and they are still working in our clinic. Only in our clinic can you find such a large number of doctors with US and English licenses — more than all of the other clinics in Moscow put together. Some of our doctors have returned to America and England for advanced medical training (fellowships) and two of them are still there. Their colleagues and especially their patients are awaiting them with all impatience.
Fifteen years in our hard Russian times is a very long time to maintain such success. The Clinic has changed its name and address several times - but the one thing that has never changed is our team of doctors and their attitude towards you, our patients, who can come to our clinic anytime and with any question, asking for help. Among our patients there are many - politicians, oligarchs, artists — who can afford to go to any clinic in any country. But they are our clients because they are pleased with our professionalism, attitude, and competence. In the beginning, fifteen years ago, our clients were primarily foreigners who were attracted by our English speaking staff and by the USA and English standards of care. During the last several years, more and more of our patients are also our compatriots. Every one of us is fed up with the situation in many other clinics — when one doctor prescribes a treatment, and the second says “What! This is terrible!” and a third one cancels everything and prescribes something different. Those who come to see us know that the approach to their problem will be the same as if consulting with an experienced doctor in New York or London. We continue to follow the US and English standards of treatment; we also have weekly medical conferences for all of our doctors to make sure we are aware of the latest medical knowledge. Each recommendation of our doctors follows these standards of care and can be reviewed and checked. Sometimes, however, there are some cases that cannot be easily solved. We will not deceive you by making many unnecessary tests. We will explain our point of view, the difficulty of the situation, and we will consult with our colleagues in the USA or GB, in those clinics and hospitals where we have studied ourselves and where we have some personal and inter-hospital contacts. If you need treatment abroad, we will initially discuss your problem with these foreign specialists and then you will be directed to the appropriate place, where the doctors will be informed about your problem.
It is a well-known fact of life that many serious problems occur at night or on weekends, when your contacts or even money cannot help you. You will hear other clinics and hospitals say: “So — on Monday our cardiologist, allergist, orthopedist, or endocrinologist will be available and will try to help you…”. We have a 24/7 in-patient department permanently in our clinic, so you will always have the possibility of hospitalization, if needed. If for some reason, we are not be able to manage the problem in our in-patient department, we will organize a specialist’s consultation or transfer to the most appropriate level of care, such as ICU (intensive care) or other special department. For several years we have collaborated with the Kremlin Hospital (Vozdvizhenka-street). Some of our doctors have become premier specialists of this hospital, while at the same time working in our Clinic. This expands our possibilities of providing a client with the most professional service: surgery, ICU, or VIP-services in a governmental department. We also have extensive contacts with other Moscow hospitals. But for sure we will choose the place where the best treatment will be offered.
